Converse Japan | July 2009 Releases

Man, why is it that Japan always gets the freshest stuff?!
As if anyone needed more evidence as to them getting some badass drops,
Converse Japan here presents their latest drops.

The Chuck Taylor comes in lots of new colorways, materials and designs. The selection is large and each style also comes in several colorways. We especially like this month’s Jack Purcell line-up, including simple polka dot looks, as well as nicely worn-in styles, both coming in canvas.

Here's a look at some more of the release; for more, make sure to check the link at bottom:

^This one has "Atomic Christie" written all over it.

Sigg Jones | The Magic Dunk

You know, stuff like this is why I love me some sites like HighSnobiety and the such...they allow me to further pass on neat shit like this to you, the casual reader.

Below we have some info on 'Sigg Jones,' a 3D animated flick centering on sneakers of all things...read on:

Here is a first look at an upcoming 3D animation movie, Sigg Jones, produced by three French film students. Their own love for sneakers takes up an important role in the movie, with the main character getting super powers via his Magic Dunk. The animation is off the hook and simply beautiful to watch and the transformation of his Dunk Low into the Magic Dunk is also very impressive, especially for sneaker connoisseurs. After the Marty McFly shoe, the Magic Dunk might be the next one that people will ask to be put into production. Only time will tell. SneakerFreaker talked to the three animators of the movie. Check out the interview here.

Here below a sequence from the animation film, showcasing one of the impressive fight scenes.

And of course, the requisite [concept] images to go along with the post; for more pics, check out the link at the bottom of the post.

Nooka x Undcrwn Collab

It seems like the watch postings aren't stopping yet...lol...but what can I say, I'm a sucker for badass accessories, most of all watches. Now this one isn't something I would immediately jump at but I find it fresh as all hell and at how limited the release, I felt everyone should know and get their asses out there before this runs out.

The info:
The basketball and Hip-Hop-centric brand known as UNDCRWN team up with Nooka on an upcoming watch release set for later this June. The colorful striped design features a multi-colored polyurethane band designed by UNDRCRWN founder Dustin Canalin. With the ZENV as the model of choice, logos of both Nooka and UNDRCRWN are showcased. Limited to 200 pieces, the watch will release soon at nooka.com/buy.

Nixon Rubber Player | Purple & Black

Continuing what is apparently a mini-watch theme today, we have the latest releases from Nixon's Rubber Player line. I must say that both are very strong releases and I must now seriously consider setting some sort of money aside to be able to inevitably make the black watch mine; and don't get me wrong, the purple is also a really strong colorway that appeals to me more than the previous yellow and green releases, I just have a tendency to lean towards black.

But for a fan of either, you can get these two now from
80s Purple.

“Shock The World Tour” DW-6900 Watch

PHANTACi is going to release a limited co-brand product with G-Shock “Shock The World” Tour. Inspired by the “AIR MAIL”, they put an envelope pattern onto the straps of an all pink watch, which is also the signature colorway of the store. Also they wanted to emphasize the idea of obscure luxury of PHANTACi. The co-branded watch will hit the shelves at PHANTACi on August 7th, 2009.

A Bathing Ape x UNDERCOVER Sneaker Collab

In a bit more A Bathing Ape news, Nigo also released these pictures of a new collab with Jonio's UNDERCOVER in the form of the above pictured sneakers. He states that these'll be available soon at Dover Street Market.
I will somehow try to get my hands on these even though I've never been too keen on Connies, I mean c'mon, who wouldn't like to rock these? lol

Bape x TEPE toothbrush collab?

Coming straight from the General's blog, we get a look at some TEPE toothbrushes with some very notable Bape icons going down it. The potential release will seemingly follow most of Bape's recent releases and come in both silver and gold colorways (the gold coming in a 24K coating) as well as in standard black [with Milo graphics].

It's cool, I'm brining it back

Alright, well it seems like someone actually comes to the site...so this is for the few people that know of its existence among the ass-load of other blogs on the net [unless of course it's just one person who just REALLY likes my ramblings]; basically, I know that it's been a while since I've posted anything new and it was just due to some more personal matters taking up my time, but I've recently run into some cool new shit that I must share with anyone willing to actually come here and look.

Here we go!

Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi Sneakers | 2009 Summer

Reebok continues their Summer 2009 releases with a couple of new colorways in their popular Ex-O-Fit Hi sneakers. The shoes feature the brands more fashion-forward design aesthetics with a vibrant mix of premium materials and simple high top styling. Both a pink and deep purple are now available at select Reebok retailers worldwide.

I must say, I actually am feeling these more than the Yeezys...controversial as it may be, 'tis true.
