Kevin Smith's RED STATE Teaser Poster

Here we have the recently released teaser poster to Kevin Smith's next film, "Red State."
From all indications, this movie is a definite must for a Kevin Smith fan or a movie fan at that.
This flick is a far departure from the types of movies that Kevin is known for making and has been reported as being a very well-made thriller that might just surprise a few people.

Those with an open mind for film should definitely check it out upon release.

Bone Thugs "Look Into My Eyes" Video

Apparently it's been one of nights where I've been listening to nothing but tracks from the late 1990s...tracks which I consider classic.
Here we have Bone Thugs-n-Harmony's contribution to 1997's Batman & Robin (groan) soundtrack; I try to forget that part, but thankfully the song will always be the redeeming trait of this whole thing. I made this selection because I feel it's an under-appreciated track from Bone Thugs that I will always have a fondness for.

Shwood Sunglasses

Wood's been good to us: it provides the means to sustain fires, build houses, and cross the seas, and leaves way better sexy messages than Brett Farve. Giving you wood...sunglasses: Shwood.

Portland-based Shwood crafts strikingly cool sunglasses by laser-cutting and hand-finishing former trees into the right shape, then 3-ply layering said wood in contrasting grain directions for superior strength, but not superior Strength Shoes, since you know those things couldn't possibly get any better. Their newest model, the Ashland, looks like it belongs on a '70s ski instructor, and’s carved out of East Indian rosewood, which varies in tone from black to dark brown, with a grain structure that's “straight and tight” -- just like military haircuts, as long as you don't ask. Other frames include the Govy, with a squarish almost safety-glasses look (in either dark rosewood or striped zebrawood), and the Canby, a chunky wayfarer in that rosewood/zebrawood, or a light blond maple, who’s apparently managed to lay off her own syrup.

Each frame gets equipped with your choice of Carl Zeiss lenses (grey, amber, mirrored), including polarized versions, and for maintenance, it's advised that you care for the frames by regularly applying beeswax -- something both Tiger and Brett wish they could say was none of yours.

Catch some wood at
Shwoodshop.com. Also, to celebrate the release of the Ashland they're giving away a pair for the next two Thursdays. Just visit their Facebook to enter.

The New York Times: “The Simpsons” Explains Its Button-Pushing Banksy Opening

Following-up on the extremely viral and controversial Banksy opening sequence for The Simpsons, The New York Times speaks with The Simpsons’ executive producer, Al Jean. Some interesting issues are brought including how The Simpsons tracked down Banksy, the authenticity of the animation and the potential repercussions involving The Simpsons’ network, Fox. A list of questions and answers can be seen below.

New Banksy Works in London

As part of the LA premiere for his recent documentary, Banksy produced a work that re-envisioned Jeff Koon’s dog and now, it looks like he’s at it again. Just a few hours after the first airing of his now world-famous take on the opening credits of The Simpsons, Banksy is back on the streets of London. Producing three new works, each piece seems to draw inspiration from pop-culture. The elusive graffiti artist makes reference to Futurama’s Bender, Keith Harring’s Dog and The Clash’s London Calling album cover.

Banksy x The Simpsons Opening Sequence

The United Kingdom’s favorite artist vandal, Banksy storyboards and directs the opening sequence to the Simpsons. In classic Bansky fashion, he paints a dark, and creepy vision of the world. In this piece Banksy takes the viewer behind the scenes of the process of animation, marketing, and promotion of an animated series like The Simpsons.

iLovePinhead x CooLuxe Dr. Pinhead collab tee

Cooluxe x iLovePinhead.com "Dr. Pinhead" Tee Cooluxe x iLovePinhead.com "Dr. Pinhead" Tee

Well, I know the listing has been up online for a bit but I am very proud to announce the release of the very first limited edition tee produced [in-house] by CooLuxe. Aside from that, I also have the privilege of bringing you the latest t-shirt from a very good friend to us and the CooLuxe family: Pinhead.
For those of you who are blissfully unaware (or think I'm making a Hellraiser reference), Pinhead is a fine gentleman, known far-and-wide, who does body piercing over in Fort Lauderdale Beach at the great Tattoo Blues. And if you didn't know, know you know (...which is half the battle).
Anywho, being a big, big fan of Pin and of his work, we offer up this nifty little design, which, after getting his blessing, is now up for sale to those that want in...but don't dilly dally too long...these are quite limited, so get yours now.

Nike Air Mag “Marty McFly” Auction

Ever wondered what happened the Nike Air Mag sported by Marty McFly in Back to the Future II? Ever wanted to own the very pair worn by Michael J. Fox on set? Well here’s your chance. At least equalling the rarest shoes of all time and certainly one of the most pined after, fans are now able to bid on the legendary sneaker in the hopes of owning the pair. Frankly the 1989-made grail looks a little tired and shows some series cracking on the midsole, though this hasn’t prevent the estimated value of the sneakers reaching a staggering $12000 – $15000. Head over to Profiles in History now, for more information and to place your bid!
