A.P.C. x Supreme Collection

In a collaboration mentioned some time ago, the A.P.C. x Supreme collection will hit stores early next month. The capsule consists of two different pieces, a pair of denim and a graphic t-shirt. The denim takes cues from A.P.C.’s iconic New Standard with additional back-pocket emroidery and a pin. The t-shirt comes in two variations, a red one for Supreme stores and a black one for A.P.C. stores. The collection goes on sale in the US both online and in-store on October 1st, 2009 while Japan will see the release two days later on October 3rd.

In 1987, Tunis native Jean Touitou created the French fashion label A.P.C. (Atelier de Production et de Creation). Over the years A.P.C. has distinguished itself as a prestigious clothier of fine apparel based on classic items and silhouettes. A.P.C. is headquartered in Paris with primary stores sprinkled across various parts of the world including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Tokyo and the US.

For fall 2009 A.P.C. and Supreme will present a two piece capsule of a denim jean and graphic t-shirt. The jean, a specially designed version of A.P.C.’s classic New Standard style, will feature a back pocket embroidery and a removable pin. The tee will come in two colors; red (available exclusively at Supreme stores) and black (available exclusively at A.P.C. Stores).

Available in-store and online on October 1st. Available in Japan on October 3rd.

Chromeo's "Night by Night"

Chromeo teamed up with Green Label Sound to offer their first original song in two years. “It’s both more disco and more classic rock than our previous stuff. It’s also the first time we try singing falsetto. We wanted a powerful, heroic track designed to provoke pelvic thrusting, coupled with sensitive lyrics about the fragility of relationships. Oh, and we had to get some talkbox in there, too. This was produced using nothing but analog gear in our new Montreal studio, and mixed in Paris by our cohort Philippe Zdar over the summer. With love, always.”

Personally, I love it...just more of the same, great Chromeo goodness.

INSA HEELS New Collection

Well, it seems that British graff artist Insa finally debuted his latest collections of INSA Heels so I figured I'd post this up for the ladies that may come across this and find it to be badass (like my lady); unfortunately, it seems that all of the newly-released heels have sold out [because of how limited they were] as of yesterday...but stay tuned to the official website for any updates and/or new releases.

There were three collections released, and they were named as such:

The MIAMI

The STANDALONE

and The THROWETTE

Argyle Socks by Benny Gold

I know that at first glance these come off a bit golf-fabulous (lol) but upon closer inspection, I'm really feeling this argyle print...slowly but surely our fashions have been getting their grown-up on, and nowhere is it more evident than with releases like these. But I ain't mad at 'em either.

Info:
Expanding his creative talents to further accessory items, Benny Gold cranks out two new pairs of socks to add to his releases for Fall/Winter 2009. Incorporating his signature argyle theme, the socks feature two-tone color schemes with Gold’s trademark paper plane logo gliding across the design. Both colorways will see a launch next month at Benny Gold stockists. Retail is set at a reasonable $10 a piece.

Now, I dunno about any of you (especially post-VMAs) but I plan on attending this show when it comes Miami-way this December...I'm sure it'll be quite a show from two over-the-top showmen.

here if/when they re-stock as it is currently sold out. (Bummer)

Just wanted to quickly post up one of the covers to the newest issue of Complex Magazine, which will be hitting the shelves on October 6th, 2009.

Check it out once it drops for a cool interview with the Clipse and make sure to look out for their upcoming album
Till the Casket Drops, which is scheduled for release October 20th.

But seriously, here J. Crew presents the Puffer Vest, which comes filled with the highest quality goose down available along with some other added feathers. Crew does it again.

Blueprint 3 x Billionaire Boys Club T-Shirts

Billionaire Boys Club offers a look into their full Blueprint 3 collaborative release. With a total of 3 different graphics (okay let’s be honest, 1 graphic with 3 different text options) BBC offers a significant amount of real estate to Jay-Z’s latest album. Each shirt features a moonman print on the front, the BBC logo on the back, three red bars on the sleeve and a different slogan: either “ABC”, “SO AMBITIOUS” or “I’M ON A MISSION” over the moonman. Two of the three shirts also carry over the text to the back.

Available September 23, 2009 at a
BBC/Ice Cream retailer near you.

smart x Visionaire Issue 75 'Visionaire 2010' Preview

Avant-garde meets avant-garde. The New York-based limited edition fashion and art publication Visionaire draws inspiration for its 57th issue from the unique two-seater smart fortwo. “Visionaire 2010″ is the first plug-in electric issue of the publication. 52 internationally renowned curators and art collectors were recruited to select 365 works of art, making this issue, in the form of an electronic daily calendar, a ground-breaking compendium of contemporary art. The cooperation with Visionaire was motivated by the launch of the second generation of the smart fortwo electric drive.

The 52 guest curators for Visionaire “2010” include artists like John Baldessari, internationally renowned museum curators like Klaus Biesenbach (MoMA) or Christine Marcel (Centre George Pompidou), contemporary art collectors like Pharrell Williams, Mario Testino or the architect Zaha Hadid as well as actors Natalie Portman and Tilda Swinton. Fashion designers Raf Simons and Marc Jacobs and Dr. Renate Wiehager, head of the Daimler art collection, are also participating.

Each curator selected seven artists. Artists include Adel Abdessemed, Agathe Snow, Bruce Nauman, Cao Fei, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Gabriel Orozco, Gelitin, Guyton\Walker, Kalup Linzy, Kaws, Maurizio Cattelan, Nathalie Djurberg, Olafur Eliasson, Paul Chan, and Steve McQueen to name a few. In this way the Visionaire issue “2010″ forms a compendium of contemporary art.

The issue “2010″, which is published worldwide, is a communications bridge between the smart electric drive and the first electric issue of Visionaire. At the same time it combines the design expertise of both brands. Following the tradition of the multi-format publication, the innovative calendar will be produced in a limited edition of 4000 copies and will be released in October.
