Pinball Machine Skate Park

There have been some pretty outrageous skate parks built over the last decade as skateboarding has made the leap from hoodlum pastime to legitimized sport. This Mountain Dew-sponsored Pinball Machine Skate Park in New Zealand, however, may be the most outlandish to date. Built in only 17 days for an upcoming competition, this park cost almost $500,000 to create and will remain open for only 3 weeks once the contest is over. A true replica of a pinball machine down to the lights, sounds and launcher at the beginning, this park is a dream come true for anyone who has ever been a teenage skater.

The WVIL Concept Camera

The WVIL Concept Camera is the creative vision of award-winning design team Artefact. While touchscreen monitors are quickly becoming a common sight within the world of digital cameras, WVIL, which stands for Wireless Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens, offers a further dimension to the concept of digital photography. Full in-body image editing together with sharing options make the WVIL a true social media powerhouse for photography with greater image quality relative to the current trend in mobile phone photography. Let’s hope Artefact are foreshadowing the future with the WVIL.

Bugatti 16C Galibier

Once existing only in concept form, Bugatti’s 16C Galibier is set to officially hit the production line. The four-door sedan will feature another high-powered engine with rumors including the W16 with 1,000 hp, or a more scaled-back 800 hp which utilizes only two turbochargers. The price of speed and comfort will set potential buyers back $1.4 USD million.

Toyota FT-86 II Concept

We’re not sure if Toyota went all Inception on us and stole this right out of one of our dreams, but the FT-86 II Concept looks like a ride straight from our hopeful imagination. More specifically, it looks like a Nissan Z got it on with the Batmobile. We’ve heard the buzz about this rear-wheel drive sports offering from Toyota for a while but it looks as if now we finally have some shots of something close to the final design – and we definitely approve. Apparently Toyota has been waiting to make a not so subtle splash back in the sportscar game and with these stills of the FT-86 II Concept they basically pulled the equivalent of a fat guy nailing a jackknife on us. We’ll be waiting eagerly for its release in 2012 or perhaps late this year.

Carbon Fiber Toilet?!?

Italian designer Alberto Del Biond has created a carbon fiber toilet. Why? That's what I want to know (for real!).

It's part of his line of Nerocarbonio design, that go from Bimota bikes to basins and this toilet. He declares himself fascinated with carbon fiber because of it's lightness and depth. Somebody should tell him that carbon fiber brittles easily and may not be the best choice for this particular object.

The designer also offers a matching bidet...lol...yes, you read correctly.

Sony Bracelet Computer Concept

Designed by Hiromi Kiriki this Sony Concept Bracelet Computer is constructed from flexible OLED plastic which allows the device to be worn around the wrist for transport.
Once required the bracelet is removed and flattened out to provide access to a slide away qwerty keyboard. The display comes in the form of a holographic projector which projects the screen display in front.

With the advancements in OLED technology I’m sure it will not be long before these type of designs are capable of production and become main stream devices.

Personally, I can't wait to see this tech in action. Since watching stuff like Iron Man, I'm really looking forward to being around to see more portable tech and more technology we can be much more interactive with.

Fashionable Transparent OLED Headphone by Korean Designers

YankoDesign said that this OLED headphone could be the greatest music accessory, and I should agree with them. This Transparent OLED Headphone is purely a fashion! A great techfashion for the music lovers that they’ll proud to wear them over their head. Since it said “Transparent”, yes the headphone has a really cool see-through flexible OLED (which is the head band) that can be light-up with custom light pattern design, or using its own automatic sound beat detection to display the groovy light show based on beats.
Min-guk Ji, Hong-joo Kim and In-oh Yoo (Metatrend Institute) also mentioned that the Transparent OLED Headphone can be set to your current trackt or “Color groove setting”, scroll messages through the OLED display or simply display any color of your choices. Over the left side of the ear cups you can find button that you can use to control the sound function, while the buttons at the right side will control the light show.

Remember, this is just a concept design by Korean Designers. I have no idea when it will hit / will it hit the store any sooner.

Sigg Jones | The Magic Dunk

You know, stuff like this is why I love me some sites like HighSnobiety and the such...they allow me to further pass on neat shit like this to you, the casual reader.

Below we have some info on 'Sigg Jones,' a 3D animated flick centering on sneakers of all things...read on:

Here is a first look at an upcoming 3D animation movie, Sigg Jones, produced by three French film students. Their own love for sneakers takes up an important role in the movie, with the main character getting super powers via his Magic Dunk. The animation is off the hook and simply beautiful to watch and the transformation of his Dunk Low into the Magic Dunk is also very impressive, especially for sneaker connoisseurs. After the Marty McFly shoe, the Magic Dunk might be the next one that people will ask to be put into production. Only time will tell. SneakerFreaker talked to the three animators of the movie. Check out the interview here.

Here below a sequence from the animation film, showcasing one of the impressive fight scenes.

And of course, the requisite [concept] images to go along with the post; for more pics, check out the link at the bottom of the post.

Lexus L-Finesse “Crystallized Wind” Exhibition

For Milan Design Week, Lexus came to Italy to present a new artist installation, entitled Lexus L-Finesse “Crystallized Wind”.
Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto used room, sound and light to express his vision. We find most impressive the acrylic models of Lexus concept cars, that you see here above.

Audi D7 Concept

Alright, so anyone who knows me knows I'm not really into cars and all that (much to some people's chagrin...lol) but I am totally into shit like this...that is, shit that lights up (or glows in the dark) just tends to blow my mind.
Add to it the fact that it looks like something out of Tron, and you have a car that'll actually make me almost drool.
