A Visual History of Daft Punk Helmets

The visual aesthetic of Daft Punk has had just as much of an effect on their popularity as their groundbreaking music. Daft fan wolf_boy2027 put together a visual timeline regarding the evolution of the Daft Punk helmet as worn by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. The group has been highly visible over the last few months thanks to their inclusion in this season’s TRON: Legacy movie.

Dazed & Confused “ENCORE” Issue featuring Daft Punk

Well, I'm not a proponent of 3D in the slightest but even that can't stop me from going on the hunt for the upcoming Dazed and Confused issue with the Daft Punk feature. Anyone who knows me even a little probably knows that I LOVE Daft Punk, so if anyone out there knows of a good book store in Miami that has a copy of this, just give me a shout.

Info:
Marking the forthcoming release of the highly anticipated film “TRON: LEGACY”, electro-pop outfit Daft Punk recently starred in this photoshoot for Dazed and Confused magazine. Shot to be viewed in three-dimensions, the piece embraces the technological advancements showcased throughout the motion picture. Captured in Los Angeles by photographer Sharif Hamza, fans will already be aware that Daft Punk have produced the soundtrack for the film and are hence an obvious candidate for a TRON-emulating shoot. The entire feature will be included in Dazed and Confused’s December issue.

Daft Punk for TRON: LEGACY

Well, it seems that yesterday's comment of there not being much interesting content out on the Web was a little hasty as I ran into this little gem whilst browsing a couple of blogs today. Check this out:

With Daft Punk producing the official soundtrack to the movie, the team up between Medicom, the electro duo and TRON is of course, perfect. They worked on both Bearbricks and Kubrick sets in all sizes, ranging from 100%, 400% to 1000% and even larger sizes.

Also, here are six new tracks from Daft Punk’s upcoming score on the Tron Legacy Soundtrack. Over the past several weeks there have been some bogus tracks making their rounds, but these have been confirmed as you’ll find them on the official
TRON website. Tron: Legacy will be in theaters December 17, 2010.

adidas Originals Neighborhood Campaign 2010 | Star Wars

Well, here is the just released trailer for the adidas Originals x Star Wars collection we mentioned a couple of weeks ago.; it's quite the fun advert for the launch and the remixed Vader track kicks major ass. My personal favorite part is the Daft Punk hel,ets at the end...priceless.

Info:
adidas Originals is kicking off 2010 by welcoming you to the neighborhood, the street where originality comes to life as artists, athletes, and celebs celebrate their style. Everyone’s invited to their street corner along with some special guests, who traveled from a galaxy far, far away to launch a year’s worth of celebrations.

Star Wars and adidas Originals have officially joined forces in their most colossal collaboration to date, bringing you a striking collection of sneakers and apparel inspired by the characters and crafts you’ve followed for a lifetime.

The most iconic moments and beloved figures from the Star Wars saga are translated to the streets, telling their creative story across a forceful collection of adidas Originals footwear and apparel.

Celebrate this powerful alliance to the beat of a new and improved remix of the Imperial March, as Vader and the Stormtroopers land on their street corner greeted by Snoop Dogg, David Beckham, Calle 13, DJ Neil Armstrong and Daft Punk representing their originality. No matter which side of the Force you’re on, believe the hype, this year is going to be massive.

There is a lot more to come from this campaign so stay tuned!

Daft Punk in DJ Hero!!

It was announced earlier this week that French electronic duo
Daft Punk has been included in the upcoming DJ Hero game and here we have a preview of what it will look like; they also produced a video trailer announcing the partnership. There will be 11 exclusive mixes by Daft Punk in the game, which will be available in stores from October 29th.

I gotta say that I was kind of interested in the game before but now I'm considering it a little bit more than I was before. :\
